Abstract Perspective

Welcome

Hello, Greetings, Aloha, Salutations, Howdy, My Dearest, Sup,

I have assembled this webpage as a board to publish my thoughts on topics, subjects, and forms that compel my curiosity. It shall likely be an informal, forgotten, and unseen corner of the vast internet. But yet it will exist, digitally albeit, as a box of mostly meaningless ramblings of which serious consideration should not be given.

The author is anonymous, however, anecdotes may be unique enough that particular individuals in the presence of their happenings ostensibly could deduce the originator of the writings on this page.

I generally dislike referencing or building upon the thoughts of others. I knew of a young man who devoted his entire life to the study of a philosophy that from my vantage was utterly indefensible. Though he knew very much of what he was on about, it appeared to me he had cultivated a depth of knowledge about nothing.

For a brief moment of my life I led tastings of chocolates. A flight of chocolates produced with beans cultivated in differing conditions would be presented. Chocolates hailing from lands with heavy rains were sweet, smooth, and velvety. Those from the arid lands had strong, fruity, and tart flavors. The gist of the experience was the act of describing what the chocolates tasted like. Of course this was an ironic endeavor as the only true “correct” answer was that the chocolates tasted like chocolate.

Cacao is a perplexing ingredient. Your tongue can never quite wrap around what is tasted. Yet, when a similarity is suggested by another, perhaps the presence of raisin, cinnamon, fig, coffee, even mango, quickly that comparison becomes the only thing one can perceive. As such, I hope to avoid doubling down on apt observations others have made and rather align my thoughts with my own perceptions in the hope of producing organic ideas.

Throughout the fodder of what you may find on this site, remember that I will likely be a hypocrite, come off as a fool, show my arrogance, and stumble upon my words/grammar/idiocy more often than not.

Thank you for stopping by!
